My “report” back from the FIRST Championships held April 2006 in Atlanta Georgia - part 1 of 2.Â

One of the volunteer activities I greatly enjoy is working with high school students as part of the FIRST program. FIRST is an organization founded by Dean Kamen (Segway inventor) to inspire young people to pursue interests in science and technology.
I work with the Spartan Robotics team at Mountain View High School as an industry mentor.
Our team recently attended the Championships at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta - nearly 10,000 junior high and high school students from around the world participating in three days of competition and general high spirits.
